The wires in the cord are coloured as follows:
Green and yellow - Earth
Blue - Neutral
Brown - Live
1. Remove the mains terminal cover plate
from the bottom side of the hob to uncover
the mains terminal block.
2. Loosen the two cable clamp screws and lift
the top side of the clamp so the cable can
go through it.
3. Connect the green and yellow (earth) wire
to the terminal which is marked with the
number 5 or the letter 'E', or the earth sym-
bol
, or coloured green and yellow. (see
Figure 1)
4. Connect the blue (neutral) wire to the ter-
minal which is marked with the number 4
or the letter 'N' or coloured blue. (see Fig-
ure 1)
5. Connect the brown (live) wire to the termi-
nal which is marked with the number 1, the
letter 'L'. It must always be connected to
the network phase. (see Figure 1)

There must be no cut or stray strands of wire
present. The cord clamp must be correctly at-
tached to the outer sheath.

The yellow / green earth wire (B) must be
approximately 2 cm longer than the live
and neutral wire (A).

6. Secure the cable by means of the clamp
screws and refit the terminal block cover.
Important! According to the current
regulations only a qualified electrician or
competent person can replace the mains cable.
